Service Technician – HVAC / Refrigeration

We’re partnering with a leading Australian engineering business specialising in the design, manufacture, service and overhaul of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Due to continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced Service Technician to join their NSW Service team. This is a field-based role offering variety, autonomy and the opportunity to work on technically challenging equipment across a diverse customer base.

The Role
Working autonomously across customer sites, you will be responsible for:
- Servicing, repairing and overhauling commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Diagnosing electrical and refrigeration faults
- Completing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
- Testing, commissioning and verifying equipment performance
- Completing service reports and job documentation
- Maintaining vehicle stock, tools and testing equipment
- Building strong relationships with customers and providing technical support
- Working closely with the Engineering, Spare Parts and Service teams
- Mentoring apprentices and junior technicians where required
- Participating in an after-hours on-call roster
About You
To be successful, you’ll ideally have:
- Trade qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Electrical or a related trade
- Experience servicing commercial or industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
- Ability to read technical drawings and follow service documentation
- A proactive approach to safety and quality workmanship
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- The ability to work independently across multiple customer sites
- Current Australian Driver Licence
Electrical licence and/or Refrigerant Handling Licence will be highly regarded.
